Charles Hails Successes of Eat Smart Grow Smart Initiative

Agriculture minister, Pearnel Charles Jr, says the country has reaped significant success under the Eat Smart Grow Smart initiative.

The minister says production is up by more than 10 per cent.

The programme was launched to shore up Jamaica’s food security as rising prices on the global market negatively impacted local consumers.

Minister Charles, says this represents the government’s commitment to improving agricultural production. He also gave a breakdown of the top-performing products and parishes.
